SUPERIOR (Press Release) – On Monday, February 27th, the AODA Community Coalition of Douglas County (ACC) will be hosting a community event directed towards providing information and resources on combating drug abuse in the community.

The goals of this event are to inform the community about current drug trends in our community, share information regarding ongoing prevention efforts, and provide information regarding intervention for those impacted by drug addiction.

Representatives from local law enforcement, drug prevention programs, and recovery professionals will be on hand to discuss the growing substance problem in our community.

Attendees aged 18 and older can tour Hiding in Plain Sight. Participants will enter a mock bedroom that has been set up to resemble the room of a teenage drug user, and educated in identifying drug and alcohol-related paraphernalia that can be found in the room.

The event will be held at the Superior Middle School, 3626 Hammond Avenue, Superior, WI.

Doors will open at 5 pm, with the speakers beginning at 6pm.

This is a free event open to the community.
