Courage Kenny Ski Camp Helps People Ski on Adaptive Skis

More Than 20 Skiers Learn to Ski

DULUTH, Minn.- Skiers on adaptive skis hit the slopes as part of Courage Kenney’s Ski camp.

Around 20 skiers had the chance to learn, or brush up on their skiing techniques at Spirit mountain, Thursday. The Ski camp is designed for adults and teenagers with disabilities, and helps encourage people to pursue healthy life styles and hobbies.

“It’s just a beautiful thing to watch, and to get people doing something new,” said Tara Gorman, who works for Courage Kenny.  “Maybe it’s something they used to do in the past and thought they could never do again, or maybe something they thought they could never do.”

All levels of skiers from beginners to advanced, attended the camp.
