City of Duluth Looking for Volunteers to Help Clean
DULUTH, Minn.- The City of Duluth is looking for volunteers for annual clean and green projects.
Snow is melting, and weather is warming up, which means Duluth is preparing to clean up the city. The city is looking for people to step up to the plate and help pick up trash on the streets, in parks, and on beaches. The city is looking for both 1 time volunteers, and people who want to commit to picking up trash in one location for the whole cleaning season.
“Really all we need are willing and able bodies and people who are interested in getting out and helping and the city will provide the resources needed for the work,” said Cheryl Skafte, a Volunteer Coordinator for the City of Duluth.
Last year, Volunteers collected around 20 thousand pounds of trash out of Duluth.
