Damiano Center Soup Kitchen Gets New Look

Volunteers Painted the Soup Kitchen Thanks to Donations

DULUTH, Minn. – The soup kitchen at Duluth’s Damiano Center has a brand new look.

Students from the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Duluth program recently toured the soup kitchen and decided to give the room a new look for their service project.

Thanks to a donation from Diamond Vogel Paints, volunteers from Duluth Painters and Allied Trades as well as Swanson and Youngdale, painted the room’s white walls teal.

“I think it’s wonderful, it’s very welcoming,” said Katherine Mueller, the Damiano Center’s Development Director.  “It’s a play on our logo, so it matches components of our marketing and branding.  And it’s just so warm.”

The Damiano Center Soup Kitchen is Northeast Minnesota’s largest emergency meal provider.
