New Online Reservation System Rolls Out for Duluth Parks
The New System is Now Entirely Online, Allowing Park Users to Easily Access Information
DULUTH, Minn. – Next time you’re looking to make reservations at a Duluth Park location, things will be a little easier thanks to a new system being rolled out by the Duluth Parks and Recreation Department.
Duluthians and visitors from all over will now be able to see what parks are available, look at pictures, read information, select a date, and pay by credit or debit card if they wish to do so by the click of a mouse or via mobile device.
The new online reservation system took over 16 months to set up, but Parks and Recreation Manager Lindsay Dean says it’s a large leap forward from the old paper and pencil method of reserving a spot.
“It brings the parks to the citizens in Duluth. It’s now much easier for users to see what’s available and reserve them to get their permit,” said Dean.
More than 600 permits were issued by the Duluth Parks and Rec Department in 2016.
