Duluth, Minn

It’s the end of the season for the Rookie Basketball Association.

The DAA teamed up with the Salvation Army and had over 300 players that participated in this year’s season. The association was started to create an opportunity for the community as a whole to grow on and off the court.

Over 2,000 hours were logged by coaches that volunteer their time to teach more than just the game of basketball.

“Connecting them to our coaches I think is a huge piece. For me, coaches are the most important piece of what we do. They volunteer but they are mentors, they are coaches. They’re teaching these kids about life lessons through the sport of basketball,” Says Erik Lofald, DAA Director of Operations.

The kiddos where treated with pizza and a special video by Minnesota Viking CJ Ham.
