Samberg Makes Dreams Come True Through Hermantown Hockey
Dylan Samberg won his second state championship with the Hawks Saturday.
Dylan Samberg grew up wanting to be a Hermantown Hawk.
“He’s our captain, he’s our best player, he’s a great skilled guy, good kid tough kid,” said Hermantown Head Coach Bruce Plante.
Samberg ended his career at Hermantown Saturday at the State Championship, where he scored the winning goal. Now, Samberg is on to conquer another one of his other dreams.
“I grew up in the area so I’ve always watched them and I’ve always wanted to be a bulldog,” said Samberg.
Samberg is committed to play hockey at UMD under a familiar coaching staff.
“I grew up around Coach Sandelin… When I finally got the opportunity it was just. wow this actually could be a reality for me,” said Samberg.
Even as Samberg trades in one jersey for another, he’ll never forget his time as a Hawk.
“It’s kind of sad because you know the season is over and all the fun times we’ve had this year is going to be over but there’s going to be memories that have been made from this year,” said Samberg.
