Pentatonix to Perform at Minnesota State Fair

A Cappella Group Has Won Three Grammys

St. Paul, Minn. – Pentatonix is confirmed for the 2017 Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Concert Series sponsored by Sleep Number.

The a cappella vocal group has won three Grammy Awards and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold-out shows across the globe.

The group’s YouTube channel boasts close to 13 million subscribers, yielding more than 2 billion video views, and the group’s 2015 self-titled album has been certified gold after debuting No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200.

Show details are as follows:

  • 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30
  • Tickets: $50, $40 (all reserved seating)
  • On sale: 10 a.m. Friday, March 24

In addition, tickets may be purchased at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office during a special limited-time opening from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 24.

The following 2017 Grandstand shows have already been announced: Nickelback with special guest Daughtry (Thursday, Aug. 24), Jim Gaffigan (Saturday, Aug. 26), Toby Keith presented by Ford F-Series with special guest 3 Doors Down (Sunday, Aug. 27), Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons (Monday, Aug. 28), and John Mellencamp with special guest Carlene Carter (Tuesday, Aug. 29).

Additional Grandstand artists will be announced periodically throughout the next several months.

State Fair fans and music enthusiasts are encouraged to sign up for the State Fair’s e-news at mnstatefair.org to receive concert announcements before tickets go on sale.

A Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Mazda, follows all Grandstand shows, weather permitting.

The 2017 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 24 – Labor Day, Sept. 4.
