Registration Now Open for Hartley Summer Camps

Since Wednesday, More than 600 Children Are Already Signed Up for Camps

DULUTH, Minn. – Registration for Hartley Nature Center Summer Camps is underway.

Staff at Hartley tells FOX 21 over 600 kids have registered in just two days.

Although a fresh coat of snow blanketed the Northland on Friday, Brett Amundson, Director of Operations at Hartley Nature Center says kids love to spend their summer days at Hartley.

Amundson says Hartley camps offer an opportunity for young people to get outdoors to explore, play and learn something your child won’t get anywhere else!

Summer camps typically are a week long with morning and afternoon options. Camps run from June 12 through August 18.

Camps are open to children ages 3-12, but Hartley also offers Family Nature Workshops which allow adults to join youth (ages 4-8) in a one day experience.

A weekly Nature Play Group option for preschool children and a Counselor in Training program for youth ages 13 and up will be available this summer. Amundson says these are great compliments to the over 80 camp experiences for youth in the community.
