Local Arts 2017 Schedules Unveiled

DULUTH, Minn. – The art scene in the Twin Ports has grown quickly, creating its own brand.

Due to the major support system from the community, it allows for new never-before-seen productions to make their way to northeastern Minnesota.

Monday evening, three major productions including the Duluth-Superior Symphony, Minnesota Ballet, and Lyrics of the North, came together at the Zeitgeist to unveil their 2017 schedules, which include some new and exciting events, which they say couldn’t happen without the support of the community.

DSSO Music Director, Dirk Meyer stated, “It’s wonderful to have the kind of support that the arts get in the Twin Ports. It’s crucial to have especially in today’s world.”

At the announcement, local artists got the chance to show off their talents, including an exclusive opera performance.
