Lakewalk Bustling for First Day of Spring
With temperatures near 50 degrees in Duluth, people flocked to Lake Superior to enjoy the start of a new season
DULUTH, Minn. – It may still look and feel a bit like winter around the Northland with some snow scattered about, but Monday marked the first official day of spring.
Many people were out enjoying the warm weather, including Barb and Jim Lundborg, who were visiting from the St. Paul area.
“There’s energy in spring,” said Barb. “It’s kind of a new start.”
“It’s good therapy,” said Jim. “Duluth’s a nice place to be. Doesn’t get much better than this.”
The countdown to summer has also started. It’s just three short months away.
