Grizzlies Finish Second At State

North Woods Falls in State Championship 96-49

After hitting a buzzer beater to survive the first round, and draining some clutch free–throws to advance past the semifinals, The North Woods Grizzlies continued their unseeded Cinderella run, taking on Minneapolis North in the Class A State Championship.

North Woods put up a good fight, but ultimately falls short, final score 96–49. Tate Olson lead the grizzlies with 14 points, George Bibeau put in 13, Cade Goggleye with 12.

Despite the loss, no tears from the grizzlies bench. Players and coaches excited about such an unexpected tournament run. Cade Goggleye and Tate Olson named to the all-tournament team for North Woods. At the post-game press conference, the mood was no different, Grizzlies thrilled to be a part of this year’s tourney, and look eagerly ahead to an even brighter future.
