Northland Community Wellness Day

Event at UMD Promotes Healthy Families and Communities in the Northland

DULUTH, Minn. – Saturday was Northland Community Wellness Day at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

With over eighty interactive exhibits, the event promoted healthy families and communities across the Twin Ports region.

It was a fun way for Northlanders young and old to learn about health and wellness, public safety, sustainability, and financial literacy.

“It’s a perfect way for people to actually come together in one area and it’s an area to bring hope to people that we do have a large community and that our community can make a huge difference,” says Cailie Craig, marketing intern for the Community Wellness Day.

Over 1,500 people came to the free event to take part in all the games, crafts, and workshops it had to offer.
