New Exhibit Coming to Children’s Discovery Museum in Grand Rapids

The exhibit includes activities themed around Minnesota's four seasons of life at the lake

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. – The Grand Rapids Children’s Discovery Museum will be featuring a new interactive exhibit later this month.

On April 22nd, the museum will debut Lake Life. The exhibit includes activities themed around Minnesota’s four seasons of life at the lake.

Kids will be able to learn about the environment around them on a fishing dock, a hunting stand and even a log cabin. Four murals will also coat the walls representing the different seasons.

The museum wanted to embrace its natural surroundings and reflect the area around them with this exhibit.

“We have 1,000 lakes in our county, one tenth of all the lakes in Minnesota are right here in Itasca County,” said John Kelsch, Executive Director of the Children’s Discovery Museum. “We felt it’s so much a part of our culture that we make it part of our children’s museum.”
