The Annual Walk to End MS is Happening Saturday, May 6, Starting in Duluth's Canal Park
DULUTH, Minn. – This year those in the Northland living with and affected by multiple sclerosis are looking for your help in raising over $36,000 dollars.
Multiple sclerosis is a disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of nerves.
The annual MS Walk will be happening Saturday, May 6, starting at the Canal Park Hampton Inn.
Check-in opens at 9 a.m., with the walk beginning at 10 a.m.
Event organizer Beth Swanson stopped by the FOX 21 Studios Friday morning to chat about the event. To date, over one billion dollars has been raised to aid in the fight against multiple sclerosis.
There is not yet a cure for the disease, but researchers have developed a FDA approved drug for primary progressive multiple sclerosis.
