UW-Superior Continues Tradition of Supporting Military Veterans

Coffee Conversation: 4th Annual Veterans Expo

SUPERIOR, Wis. – UW-Superior has been named a military-friendly school many times over the last several years.

This week the school is proving just why that is.

On Thursday, April 27, the school is hosting the 4th Annual Veterans Expo.

The free event will run from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Great Room at the Yellowjacket Union.

The Yellowjacket Union is located at 1605 Catlin Ave.

More than 30 local, state and federal agencies that serve veterans and other will be on hand.

The evening will include the history of TAPS and a flag folding ceremony.

Remarks will be made by Jim Paine, Douglas County Vice Chairman and newly elected mayor of Superior, and UW-Superior Chancellor Dr. Renée Wacher.

The keynote speech will be made by Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs Secretary Daniel J. Zimmerman.
