Sophomore Goaltender Will Miss 2017-18 Season For UMD

DULUTH, Minn- UMD sophomore goaltender Maddie Rooney is 1 of just 23 players named to the 2017-2018 USA Women’s National Team. At just 19 years old, the standout sophomore will be the youngest on the squad’s roster, as they prepare for a chance to skate at the 2018 Winter-Olympic games in South Korea. Rooney will, unfortunately, miss the 2017– 2018 season for UMD but will maintain her 2 remaining years of college eligibility
