UPDATE: Wrenshall Assault Victim Released, Authorities Still Seeking Other Suspects

WRENSHALL, Minn. – The 17-year-old male victim, from Duluth, who was found brutally beaten and had been held against his will in Wrenshall, has been released from the hospital, according to the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office.

His condition and prognosis are not yet known at this time.

Authorities believe there was at least one other person involved in the assault. Details and a name of the suspect were unable to be immediately released. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office or call 911.

One suspect, Scott Lindgren, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with seven felony charges.

A fire on May 22 at the same address Lindgren was found at, is also being investigated at this time. The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office reports they are working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
