Adventure Park Now Open at Spirit Mountain
Summer Adventures Begin Memorial Day Weekend at Spirit Mountain
DULUTH, Minn. – Spirit Mountain in Duluth is now back open for business as we head into the Memorial Day weekend.
The Mountain’s Adventure Park opened gates Friday for the Alpine Coaster, zip line, jumping pillow, mini golf and disk golf.
Five mountain bike trails are now open as well.
Executive Director Brandy Ream tells FOX 21 she’s optimistic going into the summer season.
Recently, officials with the Mountain reported a slight decrease in revenue over the winter season due to poor weather conditions.
“My magic wand still does not work that helps control our weather. We’re certainly coming off a tough winter season, so we’re ready to get summer season started,” said Ream.
Ream says the Spirit Mountain campground and Mountain Villas are booked up for the Memorial Day weekend.
“We’re ready! Our staff has been working very hard to get everything open and ready to go, we’ve got some new mountain bike trails that we will be breaking ground on here very soon,” said Ream.
Ream says summer is a popular time for grandparents to bring grandchildren to the Mountain for a day of fun. Many students take advantage of the great deals offered as well.
Adventure Park passes are on sale right now. A “School’s Out, Summer’s In” promotion is happening this Friday and next Friday for students grades K-12. It includes a $9 dollar wristband which would normally be $44 dollars.
