Horse and Carriage Company in Canal Park for Sale
Asking Price: $25,000
DULUTH, Minn.- Bayfront Carriages has been looking to sell the business for a few years now, after owner Andrew James found a full-time job.
James first purchased the business eight years ago, and has delighted tourists from all over the place with leisurely horse drawn carriage rides.
“You’re sitting there looking at this, looking at that and being able to take everything in at a much slower pace and just enjoy what’s down there,” James describes the ride.
But after almost a decade of being in the business, James is ready for a change.
“I don’t get much time to spend with my son, if I’m not doing 40 hours a week at a full time job and another 70 hours a week doing the horse stuff,” said James.
James is not running the carriage rides in Canal Park this year, and is hoping to sell the company.
“It’s quite the business but it’s not the business that you can sustain for year round,” he said.
The business would come with the carriages, horses, harnesses, and the carriage building. Though letting go of the business is bitter sweet, James says his family is ready to turn over a new leaf.
“I hope whoever buys this enjoys this as much as I did,” said James. “Now it’s time to move on to another portion of life.”
Bayfront Carriages is currently for sale at $25,000.
