Canadian Sky Divers Inspire Children at Area Schools

DULUTH, Minn. —

Their uniforms are bright and colorful, but their skills are breathtaking.

Members of the SkyHawks, the Canadian military’s parachute team, paid a visit to a few Duluth schools earlier today.

We caught up with them at the Edison North Star Academy this morning, as a group of high-flying stuntmen teach the kids about their jobs and their equipment.

Kids gasp in delight when watching a video of the group’s stunts, and their eyes widen when they deploy the parachute right in front of them inside their school’s gym.

Etienne Brassard, the youngest member of the team, says he hopes the children here realize that they can be whatever they want to be when they grow up.

“You can believe in your dream, go forward, you can parachute!  It’s really fun!” Brassard said.

These military stunt artists will be performing their professional sky diving tricks at the Duluth Air Show this weekend.
