Duluth Airshow Traffic Advisory

The Duluth Airshow begins Saturday, June 3 and runs through Sunday, June 4. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m.

Carpooling is strongly recommended for this event – some parking has been reduced due to wet conditions.

Onsite Parking:

Parking lots will be color coded and correspond with Air Show ticket colors. Directional road signs for each lot will also be color coded.

General Event Parking will be coded GREEN – entrances are located on Airbase Road and are accessible via Stebner Road, Swan Lake Road, or Arrowhead to Airbase Road.

  • Motorcycle Parking

VIP Event Parking will be coded ORANGE – accessible via Miller Trunk Hwy 53 to Cirrus Drive

  • Handicap Parking

Offsite Parking:

United Healthcare Express Shuttle Lot will be coded TEAL

The Miller Hill Mall Express Shuttle will be coded YELLOW

Shuttle rides are $10 per person for a round trip ticket.

Traffic Changes:

When traffic increases during the morning hours, Stebner Road from Miller Trunk Hwy 53 will change to a 2 lane one-way in flow, leading directly into General Event Parking. All vehicles entering on Stebner Road will flow into the lot – through traffic will not be allowed.

At the end of events from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., exiting traffic will increase – vehicle flow into the event area will be limited. During back ups, Stebner Road will change into a 2 lane one-way out flow from the event lot out to Miller Trunk Hwy 53. No inbound traffic will be allowed at these times – those needing to get to the event area will need to use Cirrus Drive.

Grinden Drive along the Duluth International Airport will be posted with “No Stopping.” That roadway will be patrolled and vehicle in violation will be tagged.

Motorists in the area of the Duluth Air Show are encouraged to slow down, drive with care, and watch for signs, barricades, pedestrians, and police officers directing traffic.
