Harbor City Students Help Plant Gardens

Library Sale Also Set for Next Tuesday

DULUTH, Minn.-Harbor City students today broke out their green thumb and helped plant garden behind the library on Michigan Street.

The students worked with Duluth’s Parks and Maintenance crews to plant beans and a variety of other vegetables, along with flowers

Once the veggies are ripe, the public can pick them off the vine.

“When people see this kind of stuff… it just makes everybody feel happy,” said Anna Neu, of Duluth’s park maintenance department.

This is the second year in a row students from the school helped plant the garden.

Today they also volunteered at the library to set up the Friends of the Library Book Sale taking place next Monday and Tuesday.
