DULUTH, Minn. – Summertime is nearly here and that means it’s time for grilling.
Texas Roadhouse in Duluth features grilled hand-cut steaks the meat cutters carve fresh every day.
For this week’s Cooking Connection kitchen manager Justin Beacom described the differences between several cuts of meat.
The three main cuts of meat are sirloin, ribeye, and filet mignon.
Grilling a Steak:
- Add seasoning to raw steak
- Sear steak for 1 minute on both sides
- Grill steak
Temperatures for steak:
- Rare: 130 degrees
- Medium-rare: 140 degrees
- Medium: 150 degrees
- Medium-well: 160 degrees
- Well-done: 165+ degrees
