Duluth Councilors Approve Sunday Liquor Sales; Starts July 16

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth city councilors gave a final vote of approval Monday night for Sunday liquor sales.

This vote of approval now allows liquor stores to beginning selling on Sunday as early as July 16.

The vote comes after Gov. Mark Dayton signed a bill earlier this year that lifted the state’s 158-year-old ban on Sunday liquor sales.

Local cities themselves had to make their own votes though, as Duluth has now done.
