Superior Elks Hold Annual Flag Day Celebration

The Fraternal Order of Elks mandates that all of its lodges throughout the United States hold the formal ceremony every year

SUPERIOR, Wisc. – The Superior Elks held their annual Flag Day ceremony on Wednesday.

The Fraternal Order of Elks mandates that all of its lodges throughout the United States hold the formal ceremony every year.

With help from Boy Scout Troop 213, the elks honored many of the American flags from the Revolutionary War era through the current flag.

Those at today’s ceremony also sang God Bless America and America the Beautiful.

Flag Day was formally declared by President Truman in 1949.
