Four Arrested and Formally Arrested on Drug Charges

 

DULUTH, Minn. – Investigators form the Duluth Police Department and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of 105th Avenue West on Tuesday, June 13, according to the Duluth Police Department.

During the search, investigators recovered approximately 27 grams of heroin, including heroin individually packaged for sale, drug packaging materials, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and $1,334 in cash.

Arrested was 28-year-old Trahern Deshawn Pollard, from Riverdale, Illinois, who attempted to flee and discard evidence during the search; 46-year-old Robert William Christen, from Duluth; 27-year-old Austin John Edberg, from Duluth; and 25-year-0ld Stephanie Ann Berndt, from Duluth. A juvenile female was taken into protective custody by St. Louis County Initial Intervention Team.

All four were formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office on Friday, June 16.

Pollard was charged with Aid and Abet 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance and Contempt of Court. At the time of his arrest, Pollard was out on bail from a previous drug charge from an incident in the 1300 block of Minnesota Avenue on March 9, 2017. His combined bail is now set at $400,000.

Christen and Edberg were charged with Aid and Abet 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. Edberg was also charged with Child Endangerment, along with Berndt. Christen’s bail is set at $100,000, Edberg’s bail is set at $40,000, and Berndt’s bail was set at $1,000.
