Motorcyclist Dead after Striking Deer on Co. Rd. 91

CASS COUNTY, Minn. – A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a deer on County Road 91 Saturday, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the report on the West Winnie Road in rural Bena, Minnesota. When responders arrived on scene they learned a group of motorcyclists were traveling north when a deer ran into the roadway striking a 2003 Harley Davidson. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the machine.

Authorities have identified the driver as Glen Sass, 54, of Prior Lake, who was treated at the scene, but later died from his injuries after being transferred via helicopter to a Fargo Hospital.
