Car Crashes into Sweeper and Plow Truck on Mitchell Bridge in Hibbing

HIBBING, Minn.-A 2002 Saturn hit a Minnesota Department of Transportation Plow Truck and Elgin Street Sweeper who were conducting work zone operations on the Mitchell Bridge in Hibbing.
At about 9:30 a.m. the driver of the car, identified as Ronald Hill, 43, of Keewatin first hit the plow and then continued on Elgin Street, hitting the sweeper in the southbound lane.
Hill faces life-threatening injuries at this time and is being treated at Essentia Health Duluth. The drivers of the plow and sweeper face non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is believed to have played a role in this accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate.
