DULUTH, Minn. – A section of 4th Street in Duluth from 6th to 14th Avenues East will reopen by the morning of Friday, June 30, according to St. Louis County crews.

Portions of 4th Street have been closed for portions of the last two construction seasons as the County worked to rebuild the road and the City of Duluth replaces the utilities beneath it.

Crews have been working against the occasional rain showers to stripe the street. Additional work will continue once the road is reopened, and motorists are urged to use caution traveling in and near the work zone.

Farther east on 4th Street, between 14th and 19th Avenues East remains closed and beginning next week, 21st to 23rd Avenues East will close, as crews work to rebuild those sections.
