Woman Found Deceased in Bemidji Woods

Police are Continuing to Investigate

 

BEMIDJI, Minn.-A deceased woman was found in the woods of Bemidji Township at 9 a.m. today, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

She has been identified as 26-year-old Chelsea Batchelder of Bemidji. She had previously been reported missing by a family member who last had contact with her June 19 at her residence in Bemidji Township.

The woman was seen on surveillance videos walking north on Little Norway Avenue at about 8 p.m. the night she went missing. Authorities found her body in the woods east of Little Norway Drive Southeast.

Investigators are currently conducting an autopsy. If you have any information on the case, contact authorities.
