Active Adventures: Swimming Safety with Duluth YMCA

Duluth, Minn. – In this week’s Active Adventures, Katie Dailey, Marketing Director at the Duluth YMCA and Sara Eder, Aquatics Director at the YMCA visited the FOX 21 Studios to chat about the upcoming Woodland Barbecue and the importance of swimming lessons as summer rolls on.

The Woodland Barbecue will be happening August 29, and is free for the public to enjoy. From 5-7 p.m., hang out at the bouncy house while listen to music and entertainment with the whole family.

Aquatics Director Sara Eder wants to remind Northlanders of the importance of wearing life jackets when in the pool or out on the water.

A free life jacket rental program is happening this summer at the Park Point Beach House.

Eder says it’s easier for children to learn swimming lessons, but all ages are welcome to visit the YMCA to learn more information.
