Grand Master Chess Player Visits Superior

World Record Holder for Playing Chess Blindfolded

SUPERIOR, Wis.-A chess grand master with a an even more unique talent is hosting a camp for those ages 8 and up at the Superior Library tonight.

The event, which begins at 6 p.m. features Timur Gareyev who holds the world record for playing chess blindfolded.

In 2016 he competed against 48 competitors at the same time blind folded.
