21st Avenue East at 4th Street to Reopen Tuesday

DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Louis County Public Works Department has announced that 21st Avenue East is set to reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.

The intersection at 4th Street has been closed since August 23, with a detour leading drivers to Kent Road, and down 24th Avenue East.

When crews reopen the roadway, the traffic signal at 4th will not be in operation as there will be no cross traffic.

Work will continue between 19th and 23rd Avenues East, and is expected to be complete by late October.

Fourth Street construction has been a multi-year construction project and will continue into the 2018 construction season.
