Bacon and Beer are the Focus of a New Beargrease Fundraiser

Saturday: Beer and Bacon Bash

TWO HARBORS, Minn. – The Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon is still a few months away, but that doesn’t mean the big race isn’t on the minds of Northlanders.

Jason Rice, the Vice President of the Board of Director for the race, visited FOX 21 to chat about the Beer and Bacon Bash.

The event is taking place Saturday, September 23 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds.

There will be beer, bacon and live music.

The event will be held inside.

Here’s a look at what’s being offered:

Beer:

  • Hoops
  • Castle Danger
  • Canal Park Brewery
  • Carmody 61

Bacon:

  • Mid Coast Catering ¬†(the Rambler food truck has expanded to catering)
  • Canal Park Brewery
  • Carmody 61
  • Billy’s
  • GB Schneider
  • Emily’s

Bands:

  • Moose on the Loose – Merle Keyport
  • The Blue Ivies with Jane Aas and Greg Tobirzi

Some of the featured bacon recipes include candied bacon, bacon wrapped pineapple,  bacon fried cabbage and Oktoberfest potato skins with cottage bacon.

Tickets are $15 at the door and $6 for just bacon and bands.
