Bully Free Block Party

Raleigh Edison School invited parents, students and surrounding neighbors

DULUTH, Minn.

Raleigh Edison School invited parents, students and surrounding neighbors to enjoy a night of fun festivities for their bully free block party. Schools around the area are doing what they can to stop bullying.

Staff at the school tells us that by inviting everyone in the surrounding area and gives them an opportunity to see what Raleigh Edison is all about.

“Our philosophy is more teaching the students bully prevention, how to talk to students, how to get adults involved and how to be aware and how to help people out,” said Kristin Regas, Dean of Students at Raleigh Edison School.

One parent says that a safe environment for her child is very important.

“It’s super important that the kids have a safe place. This world is a scary place. If the kids aren’t safe then they can’t learn and this environment gives them a chance to learn safely,” said Leanaya Miller, Mom of Two Students.

Raleigh Edison School is a charter school based in West Duluth and has an enrollment of just over 300 students.
