One Dead After Crash in Pine River Township

PINE RIVER TWP, Minn. – An 18-year-old is dead after an accident on 24th Avenue SW (Co. Rd. 42) in Pine River Township in rural Pine River, according to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the call of a single vehicle crash around 3:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22.

Responders arrived on scene to find a 1993 Ford Ranger pickup that had left the roadway, rolled over with occupants trapped inside.

One 18-year-old male, later identified as Brenden Fenstermaker, of Pine River, was pronounced dead on scene. Another 18-year-old male, Zachary Munsch, of Pine River, was treated on scene and transported via helicopter to a Twin Cities hospital.

Names are being withheld pending family notification.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
