Grand Rapids Man Involved in OHV Crash near Bemidji

BELTRAMI CO., Minn. – A Grand Rapids man was involved in an Off-Highway Vehicle crash 50 miles northeast of Bemidji, on Friday, Sept. 22, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the call around 5:11 p.m. Crews arrived on scene at the junction of Flowing Well Road (Co. Rd. 107) and Flowing Well Trail in Kelliher Township.

The preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the OHV, identified as Adam Laney of Grand Rapids, was traveling westbound on Flowing Well Trail and failed to negotiate the turn at the “T” intersection with Flowing Well Road. Laney had been operating a 2016 Bombardier Outlander owned by another party that was with him at the time of the crash.

Laney was treated on scene by Blackduck Ambulance and flown by helicopter with unknown injuries.

It is unknown at this time whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
