Last Day of the Season for Downtown Farmer’s Market

DULUTH, Minn. —

Rain or shine, the Duluth downtown farmer’s market goes on without a hitch.

This was the last week of the season for the Downtown Farmer’s Market right on the corner of Lake Avenue and Superior Street.

The rain brought a smaller crowd than usual, but it still had what the locals love about it – farm fresh fruits, veggies, and flowers, and local live music to lighten the mood.

“We came to listen to the boys sing,” said happy customer Kathy Holbeck.  “The North Woods Band.  We’ve known them for years – they’re good kids.  We got the farmer’s market and singing too!”

Holbeck says she thinks the produce at the farmer’s market is better than at the grocery store.

The Downtown Farmer’s Market is brought on by the Greater Downtown Council.

It kicked off back in July.
