St. Luke’s Shows Off Birthing Center Remodel

Hospital Receives Baby-Friendly Designation

DULUTH, Minn. – St. Luke’s is celebrating what seems like a brand new birthing center and a baby-friendly designation.

The birthing center recently went through a complete remodel and hospital officials are loving what they see.

Every room is considered a suite, there are laboring tubs in each room and families are able to enjoy a more home-like and calm-like atmosphere.

“Everybody’s story is different and we want their story to be exactly what they were hoping for,” said Stephanie Forslund, Clinical Supervisor of the Maternal Child Health Department.

St. Luke’s is hosting an open house in the new birthing center for the public on Wednesday, September 27 from 1:30 – 5:30 p.m.
