Project Party Gives Happy Birthday to Duluth Kids

Fuse Duluth hosted a Project Party Wednesday night, wishing a happy birthday to kids who may not otherwise get a celebration.

The event honored the kids who had birthdays in the month of September that live at the Steve O’Neil Apartments, and kids involved in the Damiano Kids Café.

It’s an opportunity for each kid to get some birthday memories.

“It’s important to let every child know they are special by the people who care, they deserve to be celebrated,” said Martha Bremer of FUSE Duluth. “It provides a service to families that that maybe it’s hard for them to provide big birthday things.”

The group celebrated more than birthdays Wednesday. It actually marks two years since Project Party celebrations begun. They’ve been able to successfully host 24 parties for kids.

It all comes together thanks to area sponsorship with Maurice’s, How Sweet It Is Cakes, and Duluth Balloon Company.
