Grandma’s Marathon Registration Opens October 1

Grandma's Marathon will take place June 16, 2018

DULUTH, Minn. – Registration for the 42nd Grandma’s Marathon Weekend, which includes Grandma’s Marathon, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and William A. Irvin 5K, will open at 5 p.m. on Oct. 1.

This is the third year that registration for all three races opens the same day.

Entries for Grandma’s Marathon will be taken on a first come first serve basis until the race reaches 9,000 participants.

Those who register before Dec. 31 will receive a free commemorative full-zip jacket free of charge, anyone after this can receive a discounted price on the jacket.

For the first time in 24 years, the entry process for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon will no longer be a lottery, instead registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Race capacity is 7,500 participants.

The William A. Irvin 5K is limited to the first 2,000 participants.

Entry fees begin at $110 for Grandma’s Marathon, $95 for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, and $35 for the Irvin 5K.

The Grandma’s Marathon and Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon will take place on Sat., June 16, 2018 and the William A. Irvin 5K on Fri., June 15, 2018.
