“Antigone” Performed by UMD Theatre Department

"Antigone" is the Second Oldest Play on Record, Presented by the UMD Department of Theatre

DULUTH, Minn. – Happening now through October 7, you have the chance to see the second oldest play on record presented by the University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Theatre.

“Antigone” is one of the most enduring ancient tragedies presenting universal questions of power and civic duty through a modern translation. The play depicts current political conflicts in our world today.

The play is Directed by Jenna Soleo-Shanks.

The play will run September 28 – 30 and October 3 – 7 at 7:30 p.m. On October 1, the performance will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The excitement all takes place at Marshall Performing Arts Center, in Dudley Experimental Theatre.
