Duluth Vigil Held In Honor Of Those Killed In Vegas Massacre
Vigil Was Held At Peace United Church of Christ
DULUTH, Minn. – America and the Northland continue to mourn after one of the deadliest shootings in U.S. history. Dozens of Duluthians were invited Wednesday to Peace United Church of Christ to remember the lives lost in Las Vegas.
People lit candles and emotions built up during prayer.
Members of the church even read the names of dozens of victims — each name followed by a strike of a bell.
“I think it has touched us all. I think you’d have to be living under a rock if you haven’t noticed what’s on the news. This time it feels to me like it’s touched more people,” said Joan Peterson, a church member.
Wednesday’s vigil was also a call for stricter gun laws across the country.
