Aldi Grocery Store to Open in Duluth Thursday

Golden Ticket Giveaway to be Held at 8:25 a.m. Thursday

DULUTH, Minn.-ALDI grocery store will open Thursday in Duluth near the Miller Hill Mall.

The store, located at 1724 Mall Drive, will be the second in the Northland. The other is located on Tower Avenue in Superior.

“We’re thrilled to join the Duluth community and offer customers the benefits of the ALDI shopping experience,” said said Matt Lilla, Faribault division vice president for ALDI. “Our high-quality products and everyday low prices make for a combination our competitors just can’t match.”

To celebrate the opening of its first Duluth store, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:25 a.m. Thursday. After the ceremony, the first 100 customers will receive a golden ticket which includes a variety of prizes.

ALDI currently has more than 1,600 stores in 35 states, serving more than 40 million customers each month.
