Klockow Brewery Brings Local Craft Beer To Grand Rapids

A New Brew Pub Is Set To Open Saturday, October 28th, 2017.

GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. — Kegs are tapped as brand new Klockow Brewery will begin pouring on Saturday, October 28th.

The idea for this brewery came about when the Klockow family kept visiting family in Grand Rapids, with no other local brew pub in the area, they decided that that they needed one and they were going to open it.

The owner Andy Klockow was a former brewer at HammerHeart Brewing Company in Lino Lakes, MN. He said opening his own business came at the right time and it is a dream coming true.

“It’s fun! It’s kind of exciting seeing it come from a plan that’s on paper and looked over by bankers and lawyers and people that are like yep this is a good thing, this is a good idea, you’ve done your research… to actually seeing it come to life!” said Klockow.

Bringing local flavors in flights, pints, off sale growlers and homemade root beer. There will also be board games for kids as well as adults. Whatever your flavor is, Klockow wants it to be an inviting place for families.

Klockow is going for a variety of craft brew styles, “It’s fleet more than flagships. So I think seasonality plays more into the fact of what I am going to be brewing. So don’t expect to see the same beers on tap all of the time! But there will be ones on tap that are more often than not.”

Klockow wants to listen to the community and find out what tastes they prefer and brew to their liking.

Current Beers on Tap: BHK Nut Brown, Downwind Chocolate Hazelnut, Traveling Jack West Coast IPA.

Opening: Saturday, October 28th, 2017.
