Local Red Cross Volunteers Help California Wildfire Victims

Four Northlanders Helping in California

American Red Cross volunteers from Superior and Duluth are in California helping out with wildfires.

The volunteers are there to support victim’s mental health, physical health and help out with food distribution and emergency response clinics.

This is all happening just after the hurricanes down south, but volunteers continue to step up to help.

“We’ve had people that have raised their hand to go a second time,” said Dan Williams, executive director from the American Red Cross Northern Minnesota. “It really means a lot to have such resilient volunteers. We’ve got to take good care of them.”

The local Red Cross says they work hard to support their volunteers when they come back from deployment. If you would like to help the American Red Cross needs more volunteers, as well as financial donations.
