RV Dealers Advise Early Winterization

Bullyan RV in Hermantown is Seeing an Increase of Business in their Service Department as Campers Winterize Units

HERMANTOWN, Minn. – With winter right around the corner local RV dealers are advising campers to think ahead before Jack Frost potentially damages your equipment.

The Service Department at Bullyan RV in Hermantown says now is the time to drain your RV’s plumbing system.

There are various pumps and ways to get all the water out of lines before putting in antifreeze.

From there, it’s important to seal any roof leaks.

If you don’t have a building to store your RV in, it’s best to protect it with a cover.

“We’ve had several people winterize their own campers and sometimes they forget things. There’s a charge obviously for our Service Department to do it but we stand behind our work. If there’s a problem when we do it, we take care of it,” said Josh Gordon, Parts Director at Bullyan RV.

Campers should also think ahead by putting out rodent repellant to keep critters from getting inside.
