Businesses Booming During MEA Weekend

Families flock to the Northland during MEA weekend.

DULUTH, Minn.- It’s officially MEA weekend, the Northland is full of many families enjoying a getaway from school.

Families are taking in a lot of popular Duluth attractions. One busy spot is the Duluth Children’s Museum. This weekend it’s packed full of smiling faces, getting some family bonding time.

“We provide an experience where you’re not just running around and playing you’re interacting with things, you’re asking questions,” CEO Cameron Bloom Kruger. “We encourage parents to be a part of that learning process.”

The museum is offering a reduced entry fee throughout the weekend. Another popular spot during this four day school vacation is in Canal Park.
