Lake Superior Zoo celebrates International Sloth Day

Northlanders got the chance to see Georgie the Sloth hang out on her special day

DULUTH, Minn. – Friday was International Sloth day, and the Lake Superior Zoo decided to get in on the action. The zoo offered fun activities like scavenger hunts, as well as a chance to get to see their very own sloth, Georgie.

“There just so cute, and so slow moving,” zoo goer Claire Roufs said. “They’re just really cool animals.”

“Just, how slow they are, their look is really interesting, their closest relatives are rally interesting. They’re just like an animal that’s unlike any other… And they’re cute.”
